Hi. I'm fairly new in the 4R and off road world. I recently purchased a used 2017 4Runner TRD off road. My plan is to lift it and change suspension, but I can't financially at the moment due to COVID. I have 5-10k miles left on current tires. I want to change the wheels (thought about powder coating current ones). I do like the TRD pro ones. Questions:
    1. How wide can I go with my current wheels or the TRD ones (0.5 inches smaller)? 265? 275? Again, considering that I can't lift it yet. My 4Runner is fully stock.
    2. Any recommendations in terms of a similar TRD pro wheel, matte black, that may be 7.5 or 8 inches wide?
    3. I need better tires for off roading (not doing anything crazy any time soon). Looking for a good tire both on and off road, that rides well and is not noisy on the highway. Any recommendations?

Thank you for your time. Stay safe.

Welcome from Wisconsin! We have 8" XD wheels, zero offset, 275-70-17 tires(32.20" tall) Cooper AT3 Lt, not noisy on road, I'm not sure on the lift question, but I thought I read on the forum 275's would fit without rubbing.

TRD Pro wheels are 7" wide and you can go upto 275/70R17 tires.
TRD Offroad wheels are 7.5" wide and you can mount 285/70R17 or even 285/75R17 tires.

In summary if you change your TRD Offroad wheels to TRD Pro wheels you are downgrading for the looks.

Off road wheels look 100x times better than the pro style wheels too.

    Thank you all.
I think I’ll keep the off road wheels. Maybe powder coat down the road. 275 sounds good.
    Thanks!
