I’m adding one to my new near bumper when I install it.

This is on my X-Runner. I installed under the bumper and wired it into my back-up lights. I added a fuse and a relay to be triggered by the back-up light circuit.

That’s not a rear fog light though.

I believe you’re all just looking to install some lumens in the rear for when backing up/off roading. A rear fog light is usually something that comes from factory that serves to be turned on, in severe fog to allow other cars to be able to see your tail lights. It makes the rear taillights brighter.

Someone on here installed a pair of Rigid lights and cut out holes in the bumper. I can’t find that thread...

Sounds like a tail light to me.

I’ve got one on my TJ but, haven’t come up with a way to cleanly mount it on the 4R plastic bumper cover. Thought about mounting it below the bumper but I think it might get torn off by snow or whatever.
And I just used one of those 6” oval LED trailer lights on the STOP terminal. Also angled slightly up to be better seen by upcoming vehicles.

Hey you’re at least on the right track, a lot closer than reverse lights anyway.

I put a lil amber Baja Design S1 on the back of my 4Runner to work as a "chase" light. Works in the dust, pretty sure it'd work in the fog.... Also put a clear S1 on the other side for some extra camp light and backup duties.

Probably not really what the OP was looking for, but I tried.

I didn't post it in the thread but I ended up doing 2 lights instead of just 1.
