I am doing my oil and stupid me didn't measure out how much oil I took out. The manual recommends adding 4.7 liters of oil without the filter. I added a 4.73 liter bottle, I also partially prefilled the oil filter. Its weird but my dipstick appears to show it completely full, and that doesn't add up considering I added at most 5.2 liters (capacity engine + filter is 5.4L). But its difficult to read new oil because its clear.

Would having the cars front wheels jacked up partially cause some old oil not to drain out?

Is Toyota's recommendation given in the manual on the amount of oil you should add the quantity needed to get you perfectly in the middle of the recommended range? Or is it the absolute most you can add?

Update I got the empty oil jug and poured the old oil it to see if I added more in than I took out. Even overestimating the amount of oil that was in the old filter I was a liter short. So I have to remove the oil and put it back in, fuck!

Okay all is well the moral of the story is don't jack your vehicles front wheels when you drain the oil because it wont fully drain.

Yep! Sounds like you figured it out. I've had some low oil readings on very slight grades, doesn't take much!
