    2021 Venture got Cornfed today. Easier than I thought after several Jeep’s I’ve owned. Would rather do new shock/ spring set up but this will get me by until stores have parts in stock. 1” up front only for now.     Mostly looks. Will be at sand dunes and Outer Banks. But I’m sure stock is fine. Can’t ever leave anything alone!

    The potential trouble with spacers is that your increasing suspension height without increasing shock travel. Meaning that you run the risk of over compressing the shock, which can lead to a catastrophic failure. The problem is mostly only relevant to Offroad use, or really, really, rough roads (don’t go jumping any train tracks or speed bumps! Lol). You can also mitigate the issue by increasing bump stop size in the front... but you’d almost be to the point where you’re riding on the bump stops over bumps, and then your ride truly would suffer.

    Aside from that, they shouldn’t really have a significant impact to ride quality or anything; aside from all the typical things that go with any lift.

    Looks great! I like the subtle change, just a little closer to leveled out. I wouldn't stress about ruining your suspension - a 1/2" spacer (resulting in 1" of lift) is not going to destroy anything unless you intentionally try to.

    Don't spacers sit on top of the strut assembly? If that's the case they don't compress the spring. They lower the upper mounting point of the strut.

    That's not right. First, if that were the case, there would be no lift. Second, all a spacer does is move the spring pack down, which in turn moves the lower control arm down, which - magic - raises the front of the truck. This has been discussed ad nauseum and it's disappointing this myth is still circulating.

    Think real hard about how all this works before replying. There's only one way this device works - it drives the lower control arm lower, which raises the truck. If it compressed the spring, it would either: (1) maintain the same ride height, or (2) lower the truck. If you think it "compresses" the spring, then explain in detail how a shorter spring can raise the truck.

    A&P, it can be hard to visualize this stuff. It's all good my man. Keep in mind that even if the spacer is under the top hat it's the same deal - lift by moving the spring pack lower, which drives the spring lower which then drives the lower control arm lower, which raises the truck. It's the only way it can work. It's not easy to picture this in your head, I know. But there's a lot of BS internet myths out there.

    nice! i did the exact same! i use my vehicle for light off road and camping trips. common sense tells me not to do anything more than a stock vehicle would do. 1in lift makes the vehicle look just right.
