I did a search for this topic and the most recent was from last year. Currently, I am running the Cooper Discoverer 245/60 R20 that came on it when I got it. I have not been pleased with the performance of these in the minimal snow back in January. They have also not been great in rain either. Does anyone have suggestions on other options?

The dealer had already installed 265/60-20 KO2's on mine before I bought it. The recommended minimum wheel width is 7.5". We have 7.0's. They work fine but I'm expecting to see less ware on the outsides of the tread. Been happy with them in the rain and snow. I will be going to 17's when the time comes.

I don't need new tires yet, I just don't like the ones I have. I'd like to move down to 17's, but I have a hard time spending the money on new rims when I don't need them. I'll keep an eye out for deals over the next year or so. See what I find.

Understood. These were on the truck and I paid for them ... so. Put 17's on my '13 Limited, after 'bout 300 miles, 'cause the wife hated the 20's and the tires were narrow. No small expense for sure. You'll figure it out. Good luck.

    BTW, good on the blackout!

I've been stalking Craigslist for wheels since I got it. Pretty good prices. I'll take my buddy that repairs wheels to check them out.

Blackout was just a couple cans of Plasti Dip. I'd like to do it to all the chrome trim. I have the Alpharex Luxx Black on on the way to get rid of more chrome

Did Plasti Dip on some of the chrome on my '13 Limited and all of my '15 Mustang GT. The only things that need to be chrome on modern vehicles are lug nuts and tail pipes ... in MHOP. LOL!

Love yer signature. I have two black Labs. Mother and son. Both re-homed.

    Due to your location;
I would say to get some dedicated ice tires for your 20's to run in cold weather. Then add any 17" (lots of styles available) into your summer tires! I have used true snow tires (Blizzacks etc) & they are completely different and better!
Currently favorite for 365 are the Goodyear Duratracs! They are no ice tire but great 95% of the time...
    Ryan.

Michelin makes the Defender in a P245/60R20 size. Had Defenders on our Honda Pilot and they were amazing in all weather conditions--dry, wet, ice and snow. Drove all winter in Montana and felt very secure with these on our vehicle. Plan on adding them to her Limited 4Runner when the OEM Yokohamas need replacing.

Say no to 20" tire options. Go 17" options.

I got 275/55 R20 Falken Wildpeaks. Please don't do the same mistake I did. I regret not upgrading to 17" wheels.

I would be over the moon if anyone (propably drunk) offer to exchange my 275/55 R20 wheels and tires to 17" ORP wheels / 17" TRD Pro wheels with 275/70 R17 tires. LoL. I cannot sell them either as my Limited only got 3K miles on the ODO so they are pretty much brand new like, I would loose lot of money. Atleast since my Limited don't offroad its not an urgent need.

As for snow performance both BFG KO2 and Falken Wildpeaks I use on my 4Runners has 3 Peak mountain snow flake symbol on the side wall.

Running Toyo AT II. Air 'em down when needed, they will be fine. Not much snow here, but lots of washes and thorns. They will do until I pick up some 17's.

    Sidewall is really small.

One might argue that sidewall is needed only if you offroad but one time my wife came home to pick the other 4runner as she said she wasn't comfortable loading the soil and fertilizer bags she bought. LoL.
