Need a little help. I just bought a 1995 4x4 3.0L. Can't find anywhere the proper way to check the transmission. Engine off, engine on like some of my other cars. With enine running I get laid way past the full mark. When I then turn the engine off and check it again with engine still warm and fluid warm I get a reading of the fluid at the cold mark.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

Drive it until it gets hot. You want everything at operating temperature to get an accurate reading. Leave it running in park on a level surface and check the fluid on the dipstick and adjust accordingly.
