Ok, so weird question but one that’s bugging me.
Climbed under the truck last night for no good reason other than to figure out how to straighten out the bent exhaust and I noticed the spare tire doesn’t match. Anyone else notice that their spare tire is different, or would you mind looking before I call the dealership to see what can be done.
    Thank you in advance!

The spare is a Bridgestone Dueller and the regular tires are the Nitto

Yeah that’s just what they give you to limp home on.

Well can’t wait to get a flat when it matters...
All good I guess, I was going to replace the rear bumper with a tire carrier and eventually put 33’s on it so I guess its a good excuse to get 5 and not 4... Just seems stupid to put a street tire as the spare on when you create an off-road vehicle. At least it wasn’t a donut...

You know the little donut spare tires in trunks of cars?
    They don’t match either.

Welcome to the world of all the other 4Runners. You'd sure think Toyota would at least give you a matching spare for the $$ spent on a Pro.

yeah but I’m not sure it would fit in the spare tire wheel well.

The PRO has the same size tires as the off-road and SR5. Aside from that, a 285/70/17 fits down there just fine. :)

The spare definitely is packed in their tightly. Time to look for a bumper with a tire carrier so I can put something bigger on I guess..

so you don't like the side exit exhaust you have to cut it and weld a new tub to go out of the rear of the 4R.

A 33" tire will fit underneath. In case that's keeping you from changing sizes.

Impressive that one will fit. I was thinking tire carrier just to get more clearance so I stop banging things up.
I'm not easy on my vehicles, never bought one to not wheel the hell out of it...

I'm setting up my next roof rack for a spare tire carrier. My next set won't fit underneath anyway. :)

Are you doing a rear bumper? Or, hitch mount carrier?

I'll eventually do a rear bumper with a carrier, just have not decided what way to go just yet...
