I’ve watched YouTube videos for months of Cliff’s Insane Terrain in Marsailles, Illinois.

I finally made it there today with the family and was pleasantly surprised that it was not as difficult a trail system as I made it to be from watching those videos. Gnarly for sure with serious ruts and the slickest mud I’ve ever driven through.

Not having any recovery gear on hand I didn’t get too frisky. There were some challenging areas and the slick mud made for a pucker factor on a couple of areas. Trails were marked clearly; however, while driving and concentrating on steering it can be easy to miss them.

There plenty of 4Runners there today riding in a pack...

I’m super happy with the Kings shocks. They definitely made easy work of these trails. It felt solid and the Toyo AT III’s were phenomenal even with the mud issues. MT’s will shine I think at this place.

All in all, I will definitely go back for some off roading. Not too far from Plainfield either.

Nice! That place is closer to me than the trails I usually drive to. I might be interesting in a day trip down there sometime.
