I installed 2 small amber LED strips to the bottom of the protective cover by the hood release. Ground wire is good and if I touch the hot wire to the battery it lights up just like I want. Trying to simply connect that live wire to the running lights so when those are on the amber lights are on. I've located the 5 wires that go to the running lights (see pic). There are two sets. One set has a black/white wire as well as a green wire. The other has the same black/white + a green + a blue. I'm assuming one set is for running lights and the other is for the turn signal? I'm further assuming the white/black wire is the ground? Which wire do I connect to and does anyone think I'll have trouble blowing fuses? These amber LED's I installed don't draw much so I wouldn't think I'd have a problem.

Just an update in case anyone cares...the white with black line wires are grounds as suspected. The harness that has just the black/white and green wire I still have no idea what that does. The harness that has the black/white and green and blue is as follows: Black/White...Ground Blue...Blinker Green...Running Lights. Hooked in to the green and viola...my amber LED strip now illuminates my grill when the running lights are on. Will get pic later at night if anyone cares.

Front headlights kind of drown it out. It's not as bright as the same LED lights in the back (shown in the bottom pic).

Hey there! I’m planning on doing this to my 4Runner I’m curious to know if tapping into that Running Light with this strips have worked or are effected when using your high beams?
