So when I was tracking down my rattle noise I noticed that sometime during its maintenance. Someone forgot to replace the access plate. My question is do I replace the plate or go aftermarket?

I don’t think you can buy an aftermarket access plate, you’d have to buy the entire skid plate. If you off road enough to where you’re worried you’ll need some protection, then go for it. Otherwise it’s a waste of money, they aren’t cheap.

Sorry I should have been clear. I meant aftermarket plate not access panel

If you off road enough in rough terrain I would say yeah. I’ve done decent trails and have the stock one, it’s taken a couple hits and hasn’t dented yet.

Just run it without, it's pointless anyway.

Don't blame me, I voted for Trump.
You probably could find the access panel at a junk yard

Update I found the receipt from when I had it serviced the end of September at the dealer. I went up there showed them the receipt and told them it was missing. They ordered me a new plate and screws at no cost to me. Win one for the good guys.
