    Hello ALL

I'm going to be purchasing a 2021 TRD/ORP soon. Amongst other things, I want to add a bull bar to the front. But I have no need for a winch, and don't desire to change the front bumper.

So a search on the internet shows these bull bars can be purchased separately. Can these be installed fairly easy ? Or does it take other modifications ?

    Thanks, Rick.

You have to be very careful so that it doesn't interfere with the sensor out front. Be aware that a bullbar up front that just attaches underneath the vehicle will actually cause more damage than one without if you run into something.

    Hi Trlhiker.

Thanks so much for your reply. Exactly the type of information I was looking for. Shows me how useful this Forum can be even before one purchases a 4Runner. Thanks again.

Rick, I did the same research, and like Snickel Fritz said, they are "damage multipliers." You might want to consider a full low profile bumper... I know it seems like a bad idea cutting on new plastic, but the jobs that some people have done on here are amazing! Just my thoughts.

There is a reason they are called damage multipliers. At low speeds sure they might prevent damage, I have seen instances of that. But I have heard of many many people getting into wrecks only to discover that their bull bar acted like brass knuckles by being punched into the softer front of their grill and destroying their radiator and causing lots of damage in the process.
