Cool setup. I went with this to carry my surf rods so I won’t have to breakdown the 10 or 11 footers.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
I keep my vehicles until they start costing me too much to maintain or something major starts to go. My '05 Grand Cherokee was 14 years old when I traded it in for the 4Runner. I have the Runner for a year and a half and it has about 7,400 miles on it. Seeing as I'm 67 now, I'm pretty darn sure this will be the last vehicle I ever buy. I'm fine with that.

I traded my 2007 FJ (with 187,000) for my current 4Runner, mainly because I wanted 4 doors and work hard and decided to spoil myself a little. I plan on keeping this one for a while.

I was inspired by @Trail Runnah and paid it off today.......actually, I've been working on transferring the funds for a couple days now but it's officially paid for! :goingcrazy:

Now that I'll have some money burning a hole in my pocket, I've decided to do the following mods next month:

Extended upper and lower control arms from Dirt King
Long travel King coilovers, bypasses, and bump stops in the front
    Long travel cantilevered rear suspension
    Full skids
    Supercharger
    SSO roof rack

    Nah, just kidding :p

I'll just be doing a couple of small things here and there. :pout:

    I know.

It's basically my wish list that will never realistically happen for a multitude of reasons.

    But I can still dream!

Did you really? That's awesome! Congrats! I've heard in other groups "blah blah blah...use that money for something else with a higher rate of return...blah blah blah". I don't care about that, I just want the damn loan DONE. Checked my account today, the payment has been deducted from my balance and is showing "pending". I can't wait to see the 0$ loan balance and get the title in a few weeks.

And same, I don't have any big mods planned. I just really need tires then I'm good. I plan on buying accessories like fire extinguisher, first aid kit, GMRS radio and license etc so I can go on organized trail rides that require all that stuff.

And maaaaaybe a 2"-ish lift, haha.

On, and on your mod list, I would remove "supercharger", and replace it with "LS swap". Or even better, a SUPERCHARGED LS swap :D

The part about paying it off was true. It'll be nice having an extra $500/month.

Mine is a daily driver. As much as I would love all those mods, it's just not practical for my current uses.........not to mention all of those things would be north of $20k.

Seriously thinking of getting this installed. Does anybody have any feedback on this setup?

I put on the Toyota OEM hood protector today. I can take or leave the look, but it blends in well, and it should help cut down on chips I’ve been getting on the leading edge of the hood.

I don’t have feedback on this particular setup. It depends on what you’re looking for from a sound perspective. Are you looking for deep lows, tight bass or a balance of each? Is cargo space a concern?

I was initially gonna go with 2 10w3's but the box would take up too much space. I'm looking for good clean bass and this is what was recommended. The shop i went to connected one of these to hear it for myself and it sounded really good.

It of course comes down to personal preference, but I would never shell out for a 10. It does well, but it misses a few marks that are noticeable - dependent on what genre of music you listen to. The link below is to one of the slimmest profiles 12” subs from JL and I dare say it would out perform two 10s. The slim profile allows the enclosure to be that much smaller, and can be fit under seats, confined areas, etc.

I still have a single 12” 12W6V3 and it’s way more than enough for non-competition purposes.

I don’t know about that one. But I have had a lot of audio systems over the years added to my vehicles. And a 10 inch is plenty and hit hard. I had a 10 inch in my C5Z06 with a awesome system and it kicked ass. The last one I had my audio shop who I have been dealing with for years they just added this to my C7Z06 and this is just a 8inch sub powered and it kicks ass. They install this one in a lot of trucks. It would probably take up
    Less room also.

Oh yeah, I knew you were kidding abut the mods. IMO unless you have a net worth of 7 figures and money to burn, that kind of modding on a 4R is pointless. Sink that much $$ in a 4R and still get trounced on the trail by a 20 year old XJ worth 5k, haha.
