hey, I've been looking into getting new tires and rims for my 2002 limited 4runner and I was wondering what rim size and offset should I get to avoid rubbing and avoid wheel spacers. if any of you have this tire size I would greatly appreciate if you could let me know what rim size and offset to get :)

Hey Payton! I just got some new wheels and tires this past summer. I ended up going with a set of 265/75/16 Sumitomo Encounter ATs, and I have them on a set of 16x7 2007 Tacoma PreRunner wheels. I'm not sure about the offset of those wheels, but I'm sure a quick google search will tell you. Anyway, my front passenger tire rubs against the frame, but it's only when I turn the steering wheel all the way to the right. My wheels fit perfectly well; they clear my calipers pretty well. I don't have a lift, and I'm not running spacers or anything.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Sumitomo Encounter ATs, but if you don't want them to rub I'd suggest that you stay with the stock 265/70/16 size. They didn't hurt my gas mileage too much and they grab super well. I've driven through mud, rocks, dirt, gravel... basically everything other than sand and snow. They ride smoothly and perform super well. They're a mid-priced all-terrain tire with a 60,000 mile warranty.

Hopefully this was helpful, but if you have any more questions lemme know!
