Please, hear me out here - I've tried the Light Blue wire mod to a separate switch and I'm tired of the check engine light coming on trying to fool the computers into 2wd high range or 4wd high range with the e-locker engaged and having to reset it while offroading. It would be so nice if it was as simple as the old school grey wire mod, but its not.

So I had an idea. Can you unplug the factory TRD wiring and replace it with a separate switch like a retrofitted e-locker using the LowRange kit or a DIY harness?

Anybody try this? (edit: I tried unplugging the e-locker once I engaged the locker and turned the vehicle off and the computer got pissed off - so no go.)
