Use an exacto knife and slowly wiggle the blade all around the transponder to cut the adhesive and slowly peel away the plastic. About 10 minutes and that transponder will be free. I bought a cheap blank on Amazon, had the key cut and I programmed it myself.

My AJT key fob is tight and solid.

Yikes! This sounds like the worst mod ever, haha. ER copay (mine's 150) + 30 piece of plastic = there's definitely better ways to spend 180.

Glad you finally got it done though.
