New to forum. This may have been asked before.
Reading the owners manual and looking through the customization options.
Can the key fob or vehicle be programmed to open the windows and sunroof without going to a dealership?

    Thanks for the welcome.
I’m not ready to change out the radio system just yet.
If you do customize settings with Christa do they stay changed after removing the module? Do you have to keep the subscription to make changes permanent?
    Newbie here with first 4Runner.
Sorry if this has been addressed previously. Thanks

changes made by carista are permanent. subscription just allows you to use carista.

After thinking about this issue I don’t like the fact that I have to access some third party or the dealership to get certain customization functionality of the vehicle. It’s absurd to have to pay for Carista or go another avenue for something I already purchased. This should be disclosed boldly by Toyota and not buried in the owner’s manual.

I agree. Some dealers will allow a free one time customization on a new car. Perhaps they will do that for you.

    Thanks
I’ll see if I can get the dealership to “unlock all non-accessible” customizations.

New to 4Runner vehicle as previously noted.
Upon morning startup the rev/tac goes to 1900 for a few seconds and then begins to drop down while warming to about 1600. Normal? Has 800 miles.

    Bone stock!

That's normal. After the engine warms up it'll settle down on revs.

    Thanks
Just seemed a bit high on startup.
It’s interesting that this V-6 takes over 6 quarts of oil. Maybe one reason for the Toyota engine longevity (with proper service). My 2012 Grand Sport V-8 Corvette took 6 qts. Sold it several years ago. Lots of fun.
    Interesting learning about this vehicle.
I appreciate all the help and information from my new learned colleagues. Thanks
