I recently posted a question asking for any kind of help with figuring out if the power window switches in the front doors of the vehicle are supposed to be illuminated.
Upon further investigation I found that YES INDEED there is a light bulb in there and it is supposed to light up! So I made a little video or a couple of them to show you the deal but I can't upload the file because of the 20mb limit! So here you go 1 picture (just like Bigfoot!) This is indisputable proof that it does exist!

A while ago when I was doing my interior, gauge cluster and dash light upgrade to LED's I was asking for help with identifying each replacement bulb and amount needed to complete the process.
At that time, a member sent me just that, a complete list of the size of each light and amount needed! I saved it to my documents after I was finished and I flat out forgot about it!(420+)

I'm going to post the list below because it's just too good of information to sit on and not share with you guys!

So as far as the list goes, I believe it to be complete and accurate for a 2001 t4r Sr5 4wd because I ordered the shit and it worked!
So here you go guys I hope it helps everybody like it helped me and thank you to the member whoever he was, for putting this information together!!

could it be just a module test/troubleshooting led and not an actual functioning light ?

Considering the fact that I know absolutely nothing about that and never even heard of anything like that, but that in itself doesn't mean that it doesn't exist....so maybe!? is the best answer I can give you the rest of the list that I posted was accurate, so I have no real reason to doubt it. All the switches are in fine working order they just don't light up! On the back side of the actual switch assembly there are small slits I imagine that they are there to let the light shine through. I'm going to place my order Wednesday for the bulb and I will post my results, success or failure, after the attempt has been made to fix it.

All it lights up is the “auto” lettering in the button...

That's not a bulb. That's an LED. Looks like it'll take some soldering to replace it. I wouldn't bother.

I would also test the LED...it's probably still good. They very very rarely go bad.
