One issue I've been having lately is that my doors freeze shut over night. Sometimes the rain will freeze in the panel gap between the door and frame, but I've had this happen when it didn't rain. The ice will also stick on the gaskets and pull at them as I try to open the door, and then sometimes the handles will be difficult to actuate.

Is there something I can do to stop this from occurring?

    WD-40

Clean your weatherstrip, dry, Spray some WD on a clean rag and wipe on weatherstrip, Do it occasionally and it also helps weatherstrip from drying out..

While I am sure this works fine, any quality vinyl/rubber protectant (not Armorall), works too.

Garage? If not WD-40 should work.

Probably fine. That stuff isn't supposed to react with much of anything.

Not sure what the long term effects are of WD-40 on Rubber, but is supposed to be OK too.

I use Meguiar's Rubber/Vinyl protectant throughout the car because that is what it was designed to do.

Bacon grease. Smells good too. Might have to chase off raccoons though.

Plus it complements the soy-based wiring nicely. Goes well with a nice red wine.

    Nothing so far
I use silicon spray on a cloth or blue shop towels then coat all the rubber seals and then spray Si on the door sections that match the seal, especially at the top because that’s where things freeze up. I live in Juneau, Alaska and we get a lot of funky wet winter weather with freezing. This works most of the time unless it’s an ice storm, then no matter what you are screwed.
