We have a '20 ORP. with a RevTek 3"/2" lift/ spacer kit, and I thought it was about time to upgrade UCA's, so we can take a bit more advantage of wheel travel and castor adjustability. I'm not sure what the castor, camber, or toe-in spec. should be, I have heard that the castor on lifted runners should be around 4 degs. Does anyone have a printout of what works good for an alignment spec? If I don't come up with a spec., when I go to the alignment place they will put the specs. to stock, or is this what's needed? I know the subject has been hammered on forever on the forum, so in advance I want to thank you for a little more contribution on the subject.

4 degrees caster is a good place to start. You can go higher if the JBA's allow it. I've heard of some people going up to 5 degrees, but you don't need to go that extreme.

Camber you want somewhere close to 0. Toe maybe somewhere around 0.05? People might have slightly different opinions on this, as in some might prefer a small amount of more or less toe.

You will need to do the fender liner mod with that much caster, FYI.

Thanx for the info Jake, I appreciate the numbers, that's what I was looking for..... was painless wasn't it? When you say "fender liner mod", are you talking front? The metal or the plastic? Thanx in advance for the directional on the mod. Once again appreciate your patience and knowledge on the subject.

    No prob.

The fender liner mod is basically unscrewing the the bottom of the fender liner next to the fender flare in front of the tire. Then you push the fender liner forward about an inch and re-screw the the fender liner in it's new spot. Then you'll notice the bottom edge of the fender flare in front of the tire is still sticking out slightly in that same area you were working on. Do a little trim on the corner of the fender flare with a sharp box cutter. All done. No metal trimming needed........it's all plastic.

This will give you some visuals to follow. I didn't use a dremmel like they did.

Thanx again Jake, already feel better about things! I thought I was just going to bolt on the UCA's and get aligned and drive off into the sunset! Doesn't sound like a big deal at all. Jeff

    Anytime!

Yeah, fender liner mod is super easy.

You might not need it depending on your tire size/wheel specs, but then again, you might with that much caster.

Just want to make sure you're prepared for it in the event you need it

    No problem,
Hey Jake, I almost needed your help again on led light bar hook up. I think I read in other posted you have one wired up. I added the bajadesigns 20 inch but removed the switch and back lighting switch and added the push button. All good.

    Good to hear Don!

Yeah, I have a little experience wiring some lights, but I am definitely not an electrical expert and I struggled my way through it. Haha!

Jake is a helpful kind of guy! I'm grateful for the info. When the UCA's are installed I'll be a happy camper!

If you drive while rubbing long enough it will take care of the trimming lol.
