Those of you with dogs in the 4Runner, and leather seats (real or fake), has it been an issue for you? Dog nails on the seats? We have a husky and I'm a little concerned about going Premium for that reason.

In our car now she's always in the back seats in one of those dog hammocks and it works out well. But I don't have leather.

    Thanks!

Got leather in mine...and have covered the back area with heavy duty blanket..or plastic...works fine...and once blanket gets funky, you can wash it, or toss it away

I have the leather, but keep my dogs in the back. Leather definitely doesn't attract the dog hair like cloth seats.

I used to have a 125lb Dane/Lab mix and she rode all the time in the back of my old Lincoln. Her nails scratched the plastic console between the two front seats when she wouldn't wait for me to open the back door to let her out, but her nails never scratched up the leather seats.

We have a blue heeler, he is captain of my wife’s 4Runner usually standing on the center console looking out the front. No issues with the softex seats at all. He does know how to roll the windows down is all, so we have to lock them.

I went with Canvasback- Canvasback makes some really nice cargo and seat covers. They velcro on are durable and clean looking. Can be custom stitched to match your Runner's interior leather look as well. Plus, they give you the option to put your dog's name on the cover. They are super dog friendly! https://www.canvasback.com/
