What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Been an owner for only a week, I can tell you OP that I have almost completed this T4R starter pack

 

I guess I need to step up my game. I have owned my 2020 ORP for almost a month and do not yet have any of those things.

100% good price. I drove just under an hour to get them. I think on their website it’s 925 plus shipping for powder coated I picked them

I just finished installing the LASFIT CANBUS Anti Hyper Flash 7443 7444 T20 Dual Color Switchback LED Amber w/ White Daytime Running parking light. WOW. These truly look amazing. I cannot believe how bright the turn signals are, yet how subtle the daytime lights are. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a rather inexpensive upgrade for a look that is with the times.

 

Well let’s not go as far as comparing it to the mean eye Jeep grills... lol. Those are pretty terrible.

I did put the pro grill on mine; not with any delusions of being unique, I just think it looks like the proper grill. I have considered pulling it off though. Partly so I can stop being a pro-poser, and partly because the gaps on each side of it bug me every time I see them.

 

I'm not a proposer just ask my ex-girlfriend! No ball and chain for this guy

Just for the record, I don't actually think myself or anyone else with the grill is a poser... for some reason the phrase just sounded good in my head at the time. One of those things I should have paused and read to myself again before clicking post reply.

Now I feel a bit guilty that I did a couple mods to my 4Runner today. I have 5 of the things on the drivers started pack, 6 if you count my occasional wearing of a plaid flannel.
Got around to adding some lighting, ditch lights and roof light bar on my Victory4x4 rack.
I tried out KC Hilites wire hider.

seemed to work pretty well, time will tell but better than drilling and you can’t see it unless you look and know where it is.

Caliraised low pro ditch light mounts kit, generic 40” light bar with opt7 harness.
Wired the backlight/dimmer power into the green wire on the windshield wiper heater switch harness. Seems like Toyota is pretty consistent that any illuminated switch or control uses the green wire as illuminating power.
Took about 5 hours.

 

Sliders installed. Need to get it washed and cleaned up.

also had to get all 4 tires replaced. Got a horrible shake. Thought ok probably slung a weight nope. One of my tires slipped a belt is the best they could determine and another one had a big ass knot in the middle that came out of no where. Couldn’t get any wild peaks in without a few days wait so they pulled them all gave me credit for them and installed ridge grapplers. I will say the nittos ride a lot nicer than the wild peaks did

 

They really don't look right on your black 4runner.
I will take them off your hands & put them on our black 4runner... That should look appropriate.
Seriously, looks phenomenal & still would like day pics. Those are flat; not angled? I think I see them flat.

was curious to see if the Land Rover CLICK & GO works for the 4runner and it did! for who ever its interested. you can add the hanger like mines, hook, tablet holders.

 

They are 99% flat they have the slightest angle to them that I would still classify them as flat. I wanted angled but for the price and zero wait time I’ll take it.

What size/brand lift do you have??

 

Awesome! I went and got the same set up. I have the wider bar in the front with the faring on that. And two normal width ones. Today was the first day I hopped on the highway and couldn’t hear any noticeable wind noise. Then again never have them up there without the wind faring. You thinking of getting the whole rack ever? I may spring for the 3/4 at some point. What kind of recovery boards do you have. They mounted up there without a bracket? Thanks

 

If I ever get a rooftop tent, I could see converting these crossbars into a full LFD roof rack.

Traction boards are cheap Chinese ones I bought off ebay for about $50.

A set of Maxtrax go $300, I figure I can break a bunch of the cheap ones for that price.


The bolt is 9/16 x 4.25"-ish long with washer, nut, and matching wing nut which I picked up at my local small family owned hardware store.

Cheaper than buying those Maxtrax mounts.





Since I'm a little paranoid, I also zip tied the traction boards to the rear cross bar.
Would hate for them to fly off as I'm cruising down the highway.

By the way I had to dremmel out the holes on the traction boards to fit them to the cross bars. Front cross bar is all the way forward and the rear one is all the way back. Took a couple seconds to oblong the holes in the traction board.

The middle cross bar could've been left out for best fit - but I left it in there.

Drove alll the way to New Jersey for a Gobi Stealth + ladder because I didnt want to wait 6 months.
