Finally got my brackets for the awning to use with the stock roof rack. Will probably only use for another month or so waiting for my full rack, but couldn’t wait any longer to use the awning!

Installed my LFD crossbars. Cannot speak highly enough of their product quality as well as their service. Also they only took 5 days to get here from the time I bought them so that was a pleasant surprise. Excited to get an awning and room now.

Not too bad, I only noticed it when I had the music off and was really paying attention to it. The kayak racks I had on the stock cross bars were far worse.

I don't believe this is related to the oils from hands. My hands aren't up there, so it's either from a oily previous owner or unrelated.

Wow! That's a lot of shock for the rear end.

Wait until I get my dual coilovers on each wheel and blow the doors off this thing ;)

Wouldn't be so bad if everything under it was black and it had a decent set of wheels and tires under it. Wheels are horrible, tires are too small, and I'm not one for making everything under it looks like a bag of skittles puked on it.

Our local weather forecasting "experts" say we're due for 5+ inches of snow tomorrow, so I pulled my Toyo ATs and put on the Blizzaks today.

Had my Icon Vector 6 wheels and 285/270/17 BFG KO2’s installed. No rubbing so far- we’ll see how it does off road. Really like the look of these wheels!
    16E7EE83-6401-4717-918A-742D0A259630.jpg

Full disclosure: took it on a hill and it rubbed on the fender liner in reverse full lock. Pushed the liner forward and trimmed the Bumper. No longer rubs, but have a fingers width at the body mount. I’m sure it will hit when I take if off road. I’m going to get a BMC. I have a 2.5” lift and zero offset, so it must be hard to avoid the BMC if you are going to flex it.

Ddm tuning 35w 5000k hid lows, Saber 50w high led and diode dynamics ss3 pros for fogs. Holy shit is it bright now.

    ACBAC245-1FFE-485C-AC1C-B518280EB75E.jpg

My wife thinks they are fine I think I need to aim the heads down some. I aimed the ss3’s as low as I could. The saber highs are almost as bright as my light bar off my Tacoma. And they run dim when using them as drls. But they strobe a little on drl setting. I think there’s an eliminator I can plug in but I’ll have to do more research for that.
I’ll get some better night time pics when Wednesday night since I’m off and can actually go drive somewhere other than the culdesac

Any issues with the tss? It looks to be blocking it from that angle. But I remember someone saying it cleared it just fine. I am wanting to go that route but aluminum

Love this website... Did a search earlier about my rear defrost not working.. After trying the fuse I still couldn't get it working.. It was suggested to check and make sure the rear window was completely closed...
Problem solved... Must have been down less than an 1/8 inch so I didn't notice it..

    Thanks everyone!!!

Does anyone recommend the best 5000k HIDs for both low/high beams, and my OEM fog lights? Thank you in advance!

HID isn’t a bad solution for low beams; but you don’t want HID for high beam. HID’s are slow to come up to full output and temp color... which isn’t ideal for something you need to turn off/on on the fly.

A great alternative to HID’s for low beam though, is to switch to a halogen H9 bulb. Just have to make a couple small snips to convert the bulb to fit. The light may not be as white as HID, but the useable throw/distance of the light is better.

For fogs; LED’s work great for fogs; but I don’t have a good specific recommendation. On my Taco I used KC Hilites amber fogs, they were supposed to be road legal, but they were a hair too bright and I’d get flashed if I used them. On my 4Runner I have Baja Designs amber fogs, and while they are phenomenally bright, they can only really be used off road.

Best you can do is retrofit BiLed2 morimoto projectors. Or buy kustom54 who outfits them. projectors have awesome output without blinding oncoming traffic. Any led / hid you out in oem headlights is gonna mess with people.
Cheapest option under 20bucks is H9 bulb

I find the H9 swap to be just what it needed. Easy swap and best bang for the buck by far.
