    Hi There.

I always wanted to buy a 4runner 4Gen since I was a teenager, now I have a chance to do it. I would like to hear from you people what should I take into consideration at the moment to check the 4runner. First of all a dealer is offering a 2009 4runner 4WD V6 2009 with 118.000 miles at a price $15.000. Is this a good price? Again, what you people recommend me at the moment to check the car? I'll very appreciate your comments!!

Have to look for rust?? Especially if from snow belt. Carfax for accidents salvage title or flood damage. How does it run, is trans fluid burnt, oil clean, brakes etc.

    Welcome from Austin!!

Depending on your location, that seems like a somewhat decent deal given single owner, all maintenance up to date and as stated above, make sure there is no rust. I believe the 4th gen v6 is pretty damn bullet proof although I prefer the full-time 4x4 the v8 offers (along with the added toque and towing capacity).

If we knew your location, it would be easier to gauge the deal. Urban areas tend to fetch higher prices, especially CA and CO.

    Good luck on your hunt!

'09 with low miles, sure look deep into it. '08 and '09 have the nice factory "VSC Off" button that earlier models people had to DIY. Is it a Limited, Trail, SR5, what? And as others suggested above get the Carfax, run the VIN on toyotaowners.com, crawl underneath with a headlamp and inspect carefully for rust.
