CB antenna mod help

    Hi Everyone. I just joined today. I'm looking into the cb antenna mod where the factory antenna is. If anyone has stepped by step instructions with pics please educate me, lol. Thanks

    I'm a 4th gen, no antenna to speak of. I know I've seen it done on Tacomas though. I'd imagine you would have to enlarge the hole to accept a mount and then make sure it's grounded appropriately. Best bet might be a hood mount that attaches to existing bolts and juts out from under the hood.

    I've never heard of this, and im also a tacoma guy. Do you have a link for this?

    Ive seen where people use the cb radio antenna as a radio antenna with an adapter...

    I'll see if I can dig it up. Maybe it was just using the antenna as a radio antenna. Was quite awhile back that I saw it and I even used TW to look at radios/wiring/antenna placement for the 4runner and I don't remember seeing it on any of those threads.
