Hello everyone I am new to the forum and I am happy to be here!

The family that has had it has repaired anything that’s it needed and taken good care of it. Its been mostly highway miles. It has the V6 which has the timing chain to my knowledge and I’ve heard you don’t really have to replace those but Toyota says to do it around 200,000 miles. Just looking for some good advice if I should consider buying and how much? Right now they have come down from $7900 to $6900.Thank you all so much!

Welcome to the forum from Wisconsin! I guess "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", I would check it over carefully, crawl underneath, check for any leaks and base your decision on what you see. Did you check blue book value? From limited knowledge I know Toyotas hold their value really well.

Check the frame for rust and holes. My 2005 had 260k and runs great but the frame is rusted a hole near the driver rear wheel.

Lot of miles - 260,000. Have it checked out by a mechanic?

I got a 2005 4runner with 150,000 miles and it starts and runs like new.

    Owned mine since "new".

I bought my 05 with 263k on it and couldn't be happier. I've got 285K on it now, only 8 months later. The only money I've spent on repairs, (not upgrades/mods), was for both cv axles, which I did when I put the Daystar lift on, and a few months later I had a spark plug fail so I replaced all of them.
