OE Dash cam ?

    Anyone have the Toyota dash cam on their 4Runner? I didn’t order mine and it came on my Army Green Pro. I wouldn’t order that and spend that money but seeing as it was on there from the dealer and not many for sale around and I had to drive 2 hours to find this one at msrp I didn’t even think about the additional features. I just wanted the 4Runner. Any experience using one or is it worth having ?

    Monochrome everything. LED reverse lights.
    I think it comes with the Pro model and probably the limited, heck maybe all 2020's. It came on mine and wasnt listed in the options, my pro had no additional options on it so I think its standard.

    Oh I didn’t know that. It showed additional charge for mine and I’ve looked some up online since just to see and it didn’t show them having it but they may not have listed like yours. Mine did list it though on window sticker. Do you use it any?

    hmm maybe I will take a look if its on there. All I know is the dealer said they ordered it with no options since thats how they like to sell them, which I appreaciated. I just have the microphone turned off. I tested it out and pulled the sd card, it takes good video. Havent needed to use it yet which is good since I figure that means an accident lol

    Yea that’s kind of what I was thinking would be the only use for it. I just looked online and did a build and it’s listed as additional feature for like $500 more.

    Where does the SD card go. I don't think I have a dashcam but wish I did on my 2020 TRDP.

    It has a slot on the side of the camera which is attached to the top of the windshield beside the mirror.

    Toyota Genuine Dash Camera?
    after some research on rav4, tacoma, it sounds like they charge $600 for a $60 cam.
    I will probably do it after big discount?

    Yes that’s exactly correct. I’d never order that myself for that price. But it came on the one I wanted so was not going to let it got for that. It is pretty neat from the videos I’ve seen online. Haven’t used it myself though.

    Do you know why the videos on the SD card are only shown in 1 minute intervals? I would assume it has to do with the memory size but not sure.

    It's probably so it's easier to auto-delete the oldest video.
