This is kinda crazy (I think?). My buddy has a 2008 and today we noticed that the front bumper has PPF. He got it used several years ago so never really looked at it closely. And we’ve often commented on how well the paint has held up. Well, after looking morey closely recently, it has PPF and I think this must have been done at the factory (and not port or dealer). Is that possible? He’s the second owner, the first owner purchased it locally at the same dealer as my buddy, and the dealer never did offer PPF service.

It was without a doubt installed with the bumper off the vehicle and trim pieces, grill, fogs, etc. all removed because it’s wrapped around the back side. And it is without a doubt a “vehicle specific” stamped piece of PPF, as you can see. It just doesn’t look like an aftermarket piece of vinyl.

Can anyone comment about whether this is OEM from the factory or aftermarket? Not a big deal. We’re just curious. It simply looks like a factory job and not an after market install.
