Window switch rolls passenger window down, but not up

New to forumn. Just bought my 8th yoter. Its 85 4 runr with a chevy v8 conversion. Having some electrical issues inside the cabin. Electric window switch on drivers door rolls down passenger door window, however, it will not roll it up. When i cross wire it it goes up. Has anyone else experienced this issue. Thanks

 

Thanks, for the welcome. This is my 2nd one. 1st was a 88 v6. This one i just brought home. It is a 85 with 350 v8 400 turbo auto.

Got switch working. Now the back window will not roll down. This bites, i cant get into cargo area. Gonna have to get some wiring diagrams and start taking stuff apart. Yeah

 

There are a few components that can prevent rear window operation. If you have a rear wiper, check that it is all the way up in the static position. The bolts that hold the hard top on are different sizes, and one particular bolt on the driver's side activates a safety switch that prevents window operation when the top is off. Check those simple things before you go through the wiring. If those check out, start at the switch, then the relay, etc. You can test the window regulator by jumping the connector straight to the battery.

 

I just bought samson and the window switch on passenger side rolls it up and down fine. Drivers switch for passenger window will not work up or down. It cuts the radio off and somewhere in the back something clicks.
rear window will not work with key switch or console switch. Put test light to console switch. Has no power at all. Checked wiper and its all the way up. Cant find which bolt you were talking about on top. Previous owner had window down the day i picked it up. He said limitor and switch tested good.

 

This rascal has a 350 and a turbo 400. I jerked the super swamper tsl 35s off and the front brakes were toast. After putting regular rotors on my 1st gen 4x4 with 33s i quickly realized its time for a upgrade on the runner.
Did some research and the 83 landcruiser has vented disk the same size as the runner. So i got them and opted for 88 ifs v6 calipers. Had to notch out back plate 1/4 inch. Back brakes are good. Tierod just barely misses the wheel on drivers side. Needs a 1/8 inch wheel spacer. Someone said to change booster and master cyclinder as well. Plus, disconnect the rear brake equilizer and zip tie it all the way up. Any suggestions.

Fot further brake upgrades, you can use a t100 or fj80 dual diaphragm booster, and an fj80 1" bore master cylinder. They will bolt right up. The lspv rod ziptie trick is cheap, but I opted to remove the lspv all together and install a manual proportioning valve kit from front range off road.

 

Drove runner up road and the front right brake is locking up. Ordered 91 booster and master. Will install wednesday and see what happens. Had to disconnect e brake cable on drivers side. Will not let loose when i take e brake off. Now i know why prev owner had it unhooked. I went through e brake system and adjusted and lubricated. Still locks wheel up when releasing e brake. Im beginning to think i got the pig in the poke.
