Hello all! I picked up a 1986 4Runner Turbo. However, the turbo is done... I got one from eBay and turns out it’s completely different. I purchased it using the oem part numbers but it’s definitely not meant for my 4Runner. Does anyone know where I can get one? All the sellers on eBay are no help at all...

    Welcome to the forum!
Turbos can be reclocked (rotated). Do the ports match (not enough pictures to tell...) it may still fit.
Any idea of who built the turbo system?

I thought about reclocking the actual turbo. However the stick connected to the waste gate prevents it.

    Interesting...
I wish I knew more, external wastegate maybe...
    I really don't know much & I wish I knew more as I have we have a '94 Cummins Ram & an '04 powerstroke F-250...
The '94 needs more air but I cannot spend $1,600 on a turbo yet!

Old thread, hope you got it figured out. Both the compressor side and exhaust side can be loosened to reclock. There are several uTube videos that show how. Just did it on a turbo upgrade on my on 617.
