Yes just like the video posted above.Reverse lights are awesome.

 

This what I did from same company. I did not like how dark it is backing up the 4runner at night. I got them over Labor Day there was a sale. Also I went with the brightest lights.

Installing my Kustom54 Blacked-out Taillights Today.

 

I like this very much. I plan to upgrade the rear lights also. Unfortunately, the module is on backorder currently. I'll check back later. Maybe they'll have a Black Friday sale again, and I'll pick those up then...

 

rolled the odometer over 70k miles this past weekend, almost forgot! been driving a bunch recently after not being able to drive for almost two months.

 

Lol this ones are beef compare to oem. and covers the upper section by the upper strut mount area. thats what really sold me

These came out great. Went with Satin Black just on the upper portion that was chrome. Definitely worth the wait.

 

You might need to change that to All Color Friday, times are changing.

I did this a couple of years ago. But instead of an extra backup light, I replaced the amber bulb with a red LED and rewired the connection for a extra brake/turn light.

Started the long process washed it and clay bar yesterday. Trying some different detailing products from Griot’s with reviews being really good. Also finally picked up another buffer from them. Holds the 2 and 3 inch plate. Going with the correcting cream one step and using there ceramic spray. Doing 2 coats.

If you haven't taken the front suspension apart on your vehicle before, take a look at @Crikeymike 's video on removing front struts. It'll save you loads of time! Saved me buckets!

Edit: The video shows a 2WD vehicle, but the process is the same. There's just an extra pair of axles in there.

Yes they do. If you watch the video very very easy to install. If I get a chance I will have to post a pic or video how bright they are. There are plenty of videos out. I changed because I don’t like how dark it is backing up the 4runner at night or anywhere.

 

Thanks everyone!! I’m anxious to try out this product from Griot’s. The nice thing I don’t need to rush doing it. This will take a couple of days because just doing a little at a time. I drive my other vehicle till I can get this done.

 

I did a similar process on my Taco. Unbolt the lower ball joint, but because my LCA bolts were seized, I instead disconnected the swaybar link. I could then push the spindle up and out of the way to drop the coilovers.

 

If you're interested in brighter reverse lights, check out the Gy6.35 HIR halogen bulb. It's brighter than any 921 LED bulb available.

I was interested in the tail/turn module too, but I didn't want to lose amber turn signals and reduce functionality (for example, with the tail as turn module you cannot show brake and hazard lights at the same time).
