Open your drivers door and look for the tire placard. This will tell you exactly what psi to run. Remember to set the tire pressure when the tires are cold. If you set them after you’ve driven on the highway or around town for a while the pressure will drop below what you want them at.

I adjusted them from 36 to 32 and they make a noticeable difference. I don’t remember where I read to run them at 36 but they where more stiff. Should have remembered to check tire placard... brain fart

Please specify Brand and if you are running P rated or LT. It makes a huge difference.

Brand is Nitto, not sure on rating but they are the original tires on my 4Runner Pro.

    Thanks!

If you ever wanted to know if you have LT vs P it will be on the sidewall right before the tire size

    LT265/70/17 or P265/70/17

    Is plasti-dip a mod?!
I love my nittos, great wearing, quiet, and good in all conditions. But if you like mud, go for a better tread, they’re not too hot in mud. I run 34-32 psi, no complaints.

So far I’m loving them. But I’ve only have my pro 3 weeks and only have about 450mi on her. I know these are good LT/AT tires. So all get my money’s worth outa these but when it’s time for new tires I will probably go with 285 ridge grapplers I think.

I run mine at 35. I probably will go with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers when these wear out.

I was running my 265’s @35 psi but I saw on the door was supposed to be 32psi so I aired them down to try it out At 32 they look Like they sag a bit but maybe I will do the chalk test on it to be sure. As long as there wearing even.

I tried it out today @32psi and it was a nice ride I just checked my phone to look at the psi and I mean it fluctuates rt now even tho I put them @32 after I drove around today it’s reading @35 rt now so ima do the calk test but I think I’m happy with leaving them we’re there at.

About how much do you air down off road? 15psi? 18psi? Or does it depend on the situation?

Lots of potential variables and opinions. I don't go below 18 usually just to avoid risk of breaking a bead but most say you can go down to 15 without bead lock wheels. I've run 20 for a day of slow trail riding, but usually drop to 18 for the beach.

Tire PSI is like oil intervals, the manufacturer tells us exact figures but the consumer likes to complicate things.

Have about 14k miles on my 20 Pro. Am very impressed with the Nittos. Would say they are the best stock tires I have ever had.

Pros: Smooth, quiet, performed extremely well in snow / ice even while in 2WD.

Cons: Tread life doesn’t look like it will be the greatest. But that could just be because I am comparing them to the Cooper AT3 XLT’s on my Tundra, or the BFG KO2’s on my work Tahoe.
