Suggestions on model year for 4x4?

Don't have a 4runner yet but hopefully will be in the market soon enough. Suggestions on model, year, etc to get if you were to have around 26k cash?

Of course I want a 4x4. Just can't decide what year. I won't be doing a lot of off roading but always have bought every vehicle truck / suv in 4x4. Never know when you will need it!

 

Should be able to find a 5th Gen with decent mileage for 26k. I was looking at a 2010 with 70k miles on it for 23k and that was in Southern California. Paid just a hair over 21k after taxes for my 4th gen with 88k on it. I'd start looking at Craigslist and Auto Trader in your area and see what they're going for and then you'll have an idea of what 26k will get you.
