Southern Style Offroad / Armageddon Armor Slimline Bumper works with radar.

I recently bought this Armageddon Armor Slimline Bumper because I could wait the lead time for a finished SSO. They assured me that the hoop would not interfer with the 2020 TSS radar panel. I got it in and measured it. mocked it up and felt good about cutting the front plastic. It took less than a week from recieving the parts to installing the bumper, including welding and powder coat.

One side note is that I had the Baja Designs 20" Onx6+ for the light barbut the depth of the housing was not even close to fitting with the Warn VR10S. I punted the BD and ran to 4WP for a hole filler ProComp which for the money works very well.

Now that I have had a few weeks with the bumper installed and am about to put a few thousand miles on the road over the next week. I am happy to say that after removing and re-installing the front fascia with the radar panel in it I have had no issues. Everything works as before with no warning lights etc. Although moving it around without the radar panel installed does generate alot of email telling you it is not working.

Southern Style did say that they had plans to make all the slimline bumpers to the 2020 spec so you should be ok from here on out.

Hmmmm what was the lead time for pre assembled ? I could weld it but I’d probably screw up up.

I just finished a 12 pack answering this thread. I'm affraid you may loose time and beer if I do it.

 

Added the stage 2 and cut the fenders.
