Can CV axles be repaired?

    2001 Toyota 4runner sr5
    I ordered some CV Axles for my 2001 SR5. They arrived damaged and they refunded my money and said that they don't need the part back. What do you think!? Can anybody tell me if this can be fixed!?IMG_20200909_134540771.jpg IMG_20200909_134929394.jpg

    That seems to be a dust cover for the back side of the hub. You could try to straighten it out, it's not going to be perfect, but as long as that seal is not damaged and the bent part is not interfering with the sealing surface it could be used. You should have told them to send you another one. Also can you check if that's just the seal cover that's bent? maybe you can get a seal and put it on in place of the bent part. cheap part fix.

    Yes. Hold on to your OEMs there much better than what you can buy otherwise. Here in Charlotte we use Axles Unlimited. They are a phenomenal company that has been repairing axles for over 30 years. There's also a place in Colorado , https://www.cvjreman.com/
