I'm short and and I'm about to lift my runner.. What is your cleaning tool of choice to clean the roof?

I always stand on a step ladder and use an electric pressure washer. Works well.

I'm scared using a pressure washer would take off clear coat/paint. what pressure washer are you using? how much psi? Is PSI adjustable on your pressure washer?

Any poverty spec power washer will be fine. The green and black one harbor freight has on sale regularly works well and comes with a soap foamier thing, it’s not powerful enough to strip paint. If it’s sub $100 and electric it’ll be fine.

I have two teenage sons who are both at least 6' 2" . I do the inside myself since I'm kind of OCD about interior detailing but I've had no issues at all reaching the roof.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
I'm 6'2" and I stand on the running boards and rear tire.

CLEAN.jpg I have a 3000 psi pressure washer, with the 40 degree nozzle I have enough pressure to take off everything but the paint and clear coat. Also, bought a foam cannon attachment and I dig it. I rinse/pressure wash off big stuff, foam the entire outside, then just need a wet sponge and clean water. I am OCD and work it sections reapplying foam and rinsing as I go.

Hey, mcat707, that looks much more practical than a flimsy tiny ladder screwed to a cargo hatch. Sometimes I stand on top of the tire, and the rear bumper, but also lately I’ve been using a small aluminum folding saw horse that works well too. It’s 22” high, which is about perfect. I’ll post a photo in here the next time I drag it out. Front Runner sells a small folding aluminum ladder that looks nice too, but I’m trying to avoid buying specific one use items like that. But only to load and secure items, never to wash. Mostly the rain does that.

yeah I like it. It’s height adjustable, foldable, and portable. Easily stored in the back of the Runner. I’m sure others can mount it on their roof rack, rear ladder or spare wheel mounted on the hitch or custom bumper, but not sure how it will hold up with the weather beating on it.
