    I have a 2019 nightshade. Was thinking of adding 4.88 and front and rear air lockers. Will this work without doing anything but just changing gears and adding the lockers? Will the center locking diff still work the same?
    Also what are the size of the OEM gears.
    Adding front and rear bumpers
    All the skids
    Kings
    May downsize to 17inch and get rid of the 20inch tires. But do I need to?

    Stock gearing is 3.73.
    As far as I know there should be no issues with the center locking diff. The off road comes with the rear locker from factory without additional work besides installation of the locker itself.
    If you’re going all out with those mods, I assume you’re going to do some heavy off-roading at which point I would highly suggest ditching the 20 inch wheels. They’re hideous, and you’ll greatly reduce the amount of rubber you have between the wheel and ground and have a tougher ride. Thin tires do not go mix well with rough terrain.

    Hey Braves95, these are highly specific mods, so I’m assuming you’re making them with the compromises that go with them, in mind. i.e. that gearing is pretty low, are you going for a big lift and 33s? Front lockers are great if you need them, but there’s a reason a modern 4x4 like the OR excludes them, and substitutes a traction control system instead. Front lockers really limit manoeuvrability on a trail, as you can’t turn your front wheels very much before they jam up. Any kind of backing or turning is going to take a lot of forward and back movement when they’re engaged. If you need front lockers, though, you do what has to be done. I can remember driving old 60s era trucks that had front lockers and manual steering - brutal.
    I echo what Mtbpsych says about the tires - more sidewall is preferable for airing down.

    Yes. 285/75/17 11 ply.
    Front locker just in case. I have the limited so I do not have a rear locker so I at least need that. 2.5 inch lift with the kings i got. Oem style with jba high caster. With click adjusters.

    I know i have the center locking diff. Would I use that more than the front locker?

    I hade a 17 tacoma offroad with 4.88. 11 ply tire manual and man from stock to 4.88 was night and day. Drove like a dream.

    Yeah, definitely with 33s. Not sure about The best set up for awd so I’ll defer to others on it. Land Rovers use that and they’re pretty good off road rigs.
