Every time a park on a flat surface or on a hill my door just wont stay open at all. It just wants to fall shut on me like a jeep jk door. Its really annoying having the door fall shut on my leg or foot. Did these doors have any catches on them to stop them from falling shut so easily, and if so can I replace them myself with no special expensive tools?

Also my tailgate will not open automatically which doesn't bother me, but it needs to be pushed all the way up or else it just sags 2 or 3 inches below where it should be. I think the springs that would push it up are a little worn out. Should I put up with it or replace it? I can buy strongarm brand replacement tail gate struts for $59 off Amazon right now.

I got mine off from McGeorge Toyota for like $55. Those are TOYOTA hatch struts and not cheap Amazon stuff.

Yes, it pays to locate and obtain as much OEM parts as possible...instead of the after market schlock from china..

I searched on eBay, and in a local store, but nothing of this kind popped up. Anyway, thanks for sending the link for the product I need. I highly appreciate the help, especially that comes from complete strangers. Now, I will need the help of a local locksmith nw1 to have it installed. I'm afraid I don't possess the proper skills to do the installation by myself. Even if, this is considered an easy job to fulfill.
