Ok, I know half if not more people on here are going to knock me for adding the CAI, so let me get this out of the way:

Love the sound, prob biggest plus for me
Wanted to boost mpg in any way possible (currently at 19, not bad)
Noticeable increase in pickup power / acceleration. Big for me living in hilly rural MI

Ok, so I have had the CAI in place for about a month now, and there is a consistent vibration coming from directly infront of the passenger seat (where CAI is located). The sound is most noticeable on a cold start, then loudest in reverse. Occasionally will hear when accelerating, but not as consistently as the cold start and reverse.

What I have done so far
    • Tightened all bolts
    • One of them was actually broken, so that one has been removed
    • place rubber stoppers in between engine bay lining and the CAI housing itself to reduce bounce and offset removed bolt
    • Removed the CAI cover | did not make an impact on noise
    • Visibly observed the engine bay when starting car, shifting, ect to detect exact location of noise. When I put my hand on the housing it seems to go away, however as so as reverse is put in gear, noise comes back
Has anybody else run into this issue or similar? This is my first car in which I have been working on it by myself, so any pointers or areas to check are very helpful.

I am at the point where I may uninstall to further diagnose, but really want to avoid doing that unless its 100% needed.
