Hey guys I’m new to the forum and a new Toyota owner.
so about a month ago I picked a 4runner for 1200 off a guy in Phoenix AZ it ran and drove just had a bad cv boot so just to be sure I put two new cv axels on it and I have a click when ever I turn full lock left and barely push the throttle but don’t feel anything in the steering wheel or any kind of catching or biting at all maybe you guys can help me out. Everything is right as well.
Next I would like to lift it just a little bit to put 33s or 35 12.50s on it what would you guys suggest. It’s not going to be a Dailey by any means it will see more rock and dirt then Asphault trying not to drop 3 grand into either but if I have to do so be it

    Welcome aboard!

You can run 33/10.50s on the stock rims without a lift. I did it for years. Eventually I added a 1.5” ball joint spacer for a little extra lift. Let’s see some pics!

That clicking sound may be you hitting to steering stop. Mine did that too and that is what the dealer told me.

If you bought cheap axles it’s possible that a new one is out of spec.

With 32x11.50R15's 4.88:1 R&P's would be the right gear ratio. Which engine do you have? The brakes can be enhanced with PowerStop drilled and slotted rotors with their semi-metallic pads. The idler arm will let you down running 33's or 35's. See the double shear design that Total Chaos makes for our 2nd Gens.
