Hey all, I just had my Windshield replaced and was looking it over. Is there supposed to be a gasket at the top of the windshield? Theres one on the sides and bottom but not the top. There is just a gap with the caulk in it.

If anyone has a close up of the top of their Windshield, that would be great for me to reference.

    Thanks all!

Ok that looks like mine, just never paid attention to it. I was able to see the edge/thickness of the glass and was like WTF? Thanks for the pic!

I mean, mines a gasket and not caulking.

Felt around in it, it seems like it's a gasket, just dirty as hell in this pic... toward the driver side it's clean and looks like fresh caulk a bit. I just seen this bigass gap and figured it was missing a gasket

I wouldn’t worry about it, it’ll be installed for a couple months until you break this one too.

Sounds about right, had the original 8" crack in it for the last 8 months, just got a new 10" crack a few weeks ago and figure it was about time before I mount a dash cam at the top of it.

Ain't that the truth... On my 2019, I had it 3 months and had to have the windscreen replaced. These vehicles are built to keep the glass companies in business. :)

    Cheers,

    Sean
