Console lighting on with drl?

I have a 2020 OR, and was wondering if there's a way to have the center console lighting turn on with DRL? Even during the day, the inside of the car can get pretty dark and it's annoying that I have to turn on the map lights.

 

Interior lights are intentionally left off with drls, the concept behind it is if it’s too dark inside for you see your interior and/or gauges, than it’s time to turn your lights on.

 

Do you always use the white? How do the other colors look?

 

Hmm .. I thought 5th gen runners always had footwell lighting ? I have a limited and I could of sworn I’ve seen footwell lights on while driving. I’ll check tonight when it’s dark out.

 

yes i do have them. perhaps it's a limited thing. but it's barely visible. i look down and barely see my feet.

Is that 4 strips, and does just a single M8 bluetooth controller control all 4 strips? or do you need 4 controllers., one for each strip (which sounds uncool). So, order 4 strips, and one controller, and im solid, right??

Hell ya, played with it (after getting the strips and controller) after work for a bit,.. cool beans. (I only got 2 strips in, ill do the others when I'm off shift.

I realized that my new TRD Pro found it not necessary to add footwell lighting, so I added it myself also. Ridiculous that I had to do this.

 

This option came installed from the dealership. You can tell its on but not as bright as I would like.
