I am just interested to go some remote overland camping or fishing. Currently, I have Audi Q7 which is great on a paved road but have some limitations off-road.

    Few options.

    1. Keep Audi and get 2010 Lexus GX-460 Mileage 153K... about 15K asking price.
    2. Keep Audi and get 2008 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4x4 V6 with a modified steel front & rear bumper. Mileage 180K. Asking $15K
    3. Trade-in my Audi for newer Lexus GX-460. I still need to haul kids occasionally.

IMO, a car in good working order is usually worth more for what it can do for you than the money it can get you in trade. Put another way, two (or more) cars is almost always better than one. So if it was me, and I liked the Q7, I'd keep it as the DD an add a good used 4X4 for your occasional adventures.

Harder to give helpful advice on the Lexus vs the 4R. Depends on so many things we don't know. But FWIW both seem a bit pricey -- especially for a 2008 with 180K miles.

Lexus is AWD not 4x4 right?

You can always ask for a discount if they remove the bull bar.....lol

Dump the Audi for the newer Lexus.

Pick up the 4Runner for your adventures

I know the price is a little high. But that 4 Runner looks ready for adventure. Just put rooftop tent and I'm all set.

it's 4WD with V8 engine. doubt removing bull bar will lower the price.

yeah.. if I dump Audi for Lexus, not much fund left for 4Runner. I do love Audi on Dynamic mode option. Amazing drive especially for the big machine.

I would say keep the Audi and get the 4Runner. I would also try and get them down on price. That seems pricey. Where is it located?

Also, check to see if they have done the timing belt, if there are leaks on the timing cover, etc... That mileage is getting right around the time those things would pop up.

The 4runner is way over priced for 180k miles. Get the Lexus or find another 4Runner.

I would go for the Lexus. With the upgrades in the 4runner, who know how much more action it has been in. Btw, I recognize the Nissan dealer and Cheetahs, that looks like Clairemont Mesa Blvd :D
