Good morning all. I have a used, one owner before me, 2015 trail. I bought it from the same dealership that is doing work under warranty. I had a transfer case seal that needed to be replaced as it was leaking just a minute amount to glisten the case exterior. After they fixed that, on the drive home it sounded like a door or window was open. I checked them all and they were closed. As I drove I noticed it only occurred during acceleration and dissipated when I eased off the gas or stopped. It sounds like I can hear, for lack of better terms, through the shifter for 4 wheel drive into the case or under the car. It’s definitely coming from that area. Does anyone else have experience with this, or have any ideas? Is this the normal sound for a 4runner? I’ve had the car for a month and don’t feel like it was this loud before the repaired seal. The dealership has not impressed me with their service and I have less than a month less on warranty. Should I demand they fix it, take it to a different dealership, ask for a new 4runner? They still haven’t been able to fix my squeaking brakes despite all new pads and rotors. Any help is appreciated. Oh and 4wd seems to work fine in 2H and 4H.
