I got about $4K off mine ($42.6K MSRP). Seems like about 10% is the best you get on average. There are exceptions based on trim and location.

You could try to squeeze them for another $500 and see if they bite. Otherwise, that doesn't seem bad. Being the end of the model year could work in your favor. But, limited stock due to covid19 could work against you.

I’d say if you like the color and have tried others with no luck I’d probably get it. The market is slightly different on 4R right now. The lot I got mine that usually has 15 4R and gets multiple Pros a year has 0 right now. The demand is higher than supply unfortunately right now.

6-8% off MSRP seems to be pretty normal right now with a few people getting 8-10% or more. IMO your quote is a pretty good deal if it is the model/color you want. Does that price include all fees or are they going to hit you with a DOC fee after the sale? Also keep an eye out for dealer add ons that pump up the MRSP to make it look better.

Thanks for all the responses! It is the color and trim I want. With tax’s and fees I’m sure it will hit 47K. Im still going to squeeze these guys for at least 200 bucks more. I’ll upload my 4Runner when I get! Can’t wait to join the fam

I ordered T4R Off Road Prem, Sunroof, TRD Wheel, Predator Step Bars, Blacked out emblems, sales price is 45,500 + TTT. I would hope to either negotiate about 5% off or get a real low interest rate!

    What was MSRP? For comparison.

Was it OFF-ROAD premium, or SR5 premium?

MSRP was $42185. It’s SR5 premium. The cheapest I found from 11 Toyota dealerships in Phoenix AZ.

I've noticed people having trouble finding inventory other than the SR5s out there. Covid BS has dealer stock down right now like the other members mentioned earlier. Someone else might happen along soon with interest rates being down. Counter offer with 41.7, but don't wait too long lol.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
I'd move fast if I were you. My dealer's lot seems to be almost empty, every time I go by it.
Looking at their website - they have 1 SR5, 1 ORP, and 3 Limiteds.

Normally they have 10 to 15 of each flavor + at least 1 Pro.

Did the $38300 include a trade in? That's a fantastic deal if it didn't.

No trade. They were the only dealer willing to go lower the a couple of grand off of MSRP. They were a pain to deal with, and we walked out on them before coming to a deal, but I couldn't pass that deal up. My wife wasn't to happy about buying from them, but to me money is money.

To the OP 7% off of MSRP is a start. Also wait till the end of the month, and see if the price goes down. The 2021s come in October.

I agree, money is money. I still don't understand how dealers can afford to sell them that low without making up the difference in trade. Unless the window sticker MSRP was significantly increased with dealer add on's, your sale price was more than $3000 under dealer invoice. Holdback should be around $400-$800, maybe some dealer cash for volume sales, but $3k is a lot to make up. Well done on getting that price!

I am new to the forum, and bought my first 4Runner last month - same model features you listed (including KDSS, which I am very pleased with) minus the cargo tray for 38.5k. I thought it was a great deal. The "out the door" price quoted by my dealer before I even came in was independent of trade or financing terms.

With the stupid addons it was more like $45500. I hate those add-ons. I think the actual price of the add-ons is more like $500 in value. Tint, paint shield, door guards, and the famous nitrogen.....
