I am pretty stoked!! 90 days of infringement into my "30 day" approval by the State of Illinois... they finally issued my FOID. Irritating as all get out...

Great job!! Sounds like your settling in fine. Must be hard relocating and having to learn new local gun restrictions....

Funny part is the people they don't want to get guns can get them in a day

My Uncle passed away in Washington state. There’s a few guns waiting for me...

Sorry to hear that... WA was immensely more gun friendly than Illinois... however, I am sure it has changed since we left in 2017.

Sounds like the usual bureaucratic BS.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
11 years ago I moved to Missouri from Illinois. It was a refreshing experience buying a gun in Missouri.
Walk in, pick the gun you want, fill out the 4473, wait on the instant background check, pay, and walk out with the gun.

No FOID or Waiting Period BS.

Where is the IL croud buying ammo? Only thing I found in 9mm now is either home made junk at a buck a round and better stuff at 2. Stores are empty

Yes, the whole 24 hour wait is total BS... I like living here; however, it will be the reason we leave when my wife retires.
