So on my one of my 2000 SR5 5-speeds, the very first connection on the charcoal canister closest to the battery (not the one to the air box) is dangling down towards the bottom of the engine and I cannot figure out where it goes. The under hood vacuum decal and the Haynes diagram and aren't clear where it goes and just show a stub. This hose is connected to a small length of tubing and then to another hose. So where does it go? I actually have two of these trucks but my son took the other one and went back to school before I noticed this.hose.jpg

Can't your son send you a picture?

My 2002 is nothing like this or I would help you out.

LOL I tried that. He said he couldn't tell where it went as it was obscured by skid plates which he didn't have the tools (or the motivation) to remove.

I'm not sure if this helps any. On my '99 this line appears to go into the frame, right above the engine support. I can't tell where it goes from there.
