2020 PRO lift question

So I bought a 2020 pro series yesterday and I want to move up tire size or maybe a lift and 33s. I was told by the dealer a lift and even a leveling kit voids the warranty. So my question is does it void the warranty? Even a leveling kit? I was also told it would throw the pre collision and all that stuff off making it not work? Should I just do a size up in tires? the warranty will not be voided. However whatever you replace will no longer be warrantied or whatever you alter. So say you change shocks, those are no longer covered. If you add a spacer to your front then the shocks are no longer covered. However if something in your engine fails you’re still covered. However if your alterations causes the failure then it’s not covered.

as far as loft I’d avoid spacers, you paid a premium for your pro, eibach makes a kit to lift and not lose quality.

I also assume when you say 33’s you mean 285/70/17? You will more than likely need to do a BMC. Hope this info

westcott is a good option, but Eibach just released springs specific to the 19/20 pro’s. You’ll get 2/1 lift

I don’t have 33’s, but close at 285/70/17

 

That or I was going to buy 20s and 33s but the kit above may be my best bet for 350? Just cause no geometry or anything changes. If I can level and fit 285 I’d be okay with that and a MT

The entire shock. However the odds of its failing aren’t very high. I wouldn’t stress about it.

 

I just received my Eibach springs 2 days ago. Just a matter of time till I get them on. Plan on doing upper control arms.

Ok so I’ll stay 17s and 285 with those springs. If I void a shock that’s okay. They may not know considering they are red lol. Will it throw my lane departure off or the pre collision? And speedo way off?

 

I think you’re looking at a roughly 2mph difference (higher). No issues with 2020 electronics

 

awesome thanks for the help guys. Just ordered the springs now looking for bronze wheels. I appreciate all the help. The dealer said it wouldn’t work with electronics. Fuel mileage already sucks mine as well make it worse. I just want a little beefier and nicer look. Windows are being tinted to 5% Monday then the lift wheels and tires and I’ll probably leave her alone. I assume the sway bar disconnect and all will also still work? And with a 1 rear and 1.6 will that level? I feel like .6 will not level it. Or should I go with just a 1.5 I’m the front?

 

It will more than likely keep a similiar rake as factory. The pre collision will still work, however it may throw “ghosts” mine will occasionally go off but the car in front isn’t near. Actually slammed on the breaks cause it went off and sniffed out on the freeway but there was no car in front of me that I was going to hit. Lmaooooo. However I was looking down at my floor as I just dropped something.

 

Gotta eliminate the rake. I can’t stand it

 

I never clocked mine with stock 265. When I went 285 checked via GPS and highway radar, the 285 is 100% accurate. Others have mentioned the same thing

 

By the pics with the new Eibach springs the 4runner looks pretty much level.

 

I’ve ordered them so hopefully that’s the case. Fingers crossed

 

you can’t really tell by pictures unless it’s super obvious. However the best way to measure rake is frame down to see what yah got. I occasionally tow so I kept my rake at about 1” however without measuring it’s difficult to tell.

 

I put on the revtek spacer lift. I wish I had seen the eibach springs. I may end up going that route but so far the spacer loft has been good for me. It’s 2” all the way around.

Mine is a 2020 but it came out very nice. I used icon rebound bronze rims

 

what offset are those? Or what’s safe to run? I ordered the wescott

 

It won't void the warranty but i've been told that they will not recalibrate the TSS system to accommodate the lift. In fact, they said they would disable it. With the 2021 coming with a higher (leveled) suspension I wonder if they will recalibrate it to match the 2021 suspension if you have them install it.

 

I was unaware before I even ordered the kit. Maybe I should just cancel and leave it foctoey

 

285/70/17's will actually make your speedometer accurate. Tested against GPS, they read high with stock tires. With 285's, my speedometer is now perfectly accurate.

that’s what was ordered. They came with what ever offset they do for the 4Runner. It does move them out a bit wider
