    Hello all;

    I’m sure a few of you have gone the Alpine Halo9 route. This was my first attempt at swapping a head unit and it was equally easier and more frustrating than I thought.
    Finally everything is working, all buttons ticked. The only really random thing is...I can’t hear Siri or phone calls on CarPlay. Has anyone have this happen on a new installation and know where I went wrong? Everything else seems find, minus a minor annoyance trying to replace the splash screen.

    Have you done a firmware update on the unit. I have the iLX-W650 and the first thing I did was update the unit. That should fix the issue.

    Actually it had to do with the rear/front speaker harness needing to be swapped. Something Crutchfield was aware of and even had a wiring diagram.
