Just curious because I got up to 95 mph with my 97 4 cylinder (5 speed) engine without too much trouble. Considering the vehicle is basically shaped like a brick with smoothed corners I think its pretty respectable.

My '03 V8 around 110-115 MPH. I think I've had the '19 up to around 105. I know for a fact that I hit 98 in Georgia this February. My best friend the state trooper told me.:D

90 mph (this was in a 75 zone).

I'm glad the 4Runner's speedometer only goes to 120. My Xterra's went to 140 and I was always like...

I had an opportunity to find the top speed on an open stretch of straight and well paved highway. I got it to 104 mph before I decided to quit while I was still ahead. There was no one around but I still feel incredibly stupid for doing this. My question has been answered, and I will never do that again.

I’ve got a super charger, if it wasn’t for my teenage kids with me most of the time, I’m sure I’d would have seen what it can do.

Maybe 80 in our 2019 SR5 Premium. It isn't a race car. It is a daily driver. When I want to go fast, I drop behind the wheel of our 2013 Shelby GT500. Ford officially says it will go 202 mph, in optimal conditions and on 93 octane or better. But I haven't had it above 100 mph. No reason to go that fast. It is so powerful and full of torque, I can have it in 5th or 6th gear and pull away from most anything if need be.

I sure wouldn’t want to be in a 4 Runner at those speeds if anything bad happened. Basically, even testing for a momentary maximum speed, you should be wearing a crash helmet as a minimum.

~105mph. Been known to cruise at 90 for 10-15 min on the highway (70mph zone) during rush hour.

My lexus was the same. Brought it to service saying it would bog down on the highway, service tech asks how fast I was going? I'm like why? He said motor cuts back at 115..... i said oh, thanks and left.

I got my v8 to the max reading on the speedometer (110) might've gone a little faster but I could not tell.

My 2000 limited with supercharger will hit the speed limiter at 108 mph.
Then its like the ignition turns off, you have to back off the gas and reapply.
