    Hi,

I'm having issues installing an aftermarket double din radio on my 2003 Toyota 4runner. I bought an aboutBit CA-70BT 7" Display tough screen radio. This 2003 4runner does not have a JBL audio system. After connecting the wiring harness, matching color to color, the unit did not turn on. Any help or advise is greatly appreciated. Here are the photos of the unit and the wiring

    I can probably help....
Did your factory radio work before you pulled it out?
You will need a multimeter if the answer is yes.
With the radio out first check the fuse on the back of the new stereo. Always check continuity across it to see if it’s blown. I have seen many times fuses look good but are actually bad. If good then plug the Toyota harness that you wired to the new stereo and then make sure you get 12 volts on the constant yellow wire. Also check to make sure that you have 12 volts on the red accessory wire when the truck is either in the ignition position or running and then resting at ground when key is turned off or out of ignition. You WANT TO TEST THIS AT THE NEW STEREO PLUG FIRST. If you are not getting power then move to the factory harness. If you have proper power then it’s a connection issue. If you don’t then you have a blown fuse in the truck. You will have multiple fuses/circuits it can be on ( ie cig lighter ect )
If you have proper power at the new radio harness from the beginning of troubleshooting, then your radio is nothing more than a paperweight. Obviously, this is also making sure you’re powering the radio on properly. Some radios have a delay or have to hold a certain button for a couple seconds on the initial startup. Good luck!

I will also mention that I have seen personally working factory radios and when new radio harness plugged in the fuse blows.
